John and I are completely addicted to watching American Pickers. I’m definitely no history buff, but after watching a marathon the other day I realized that picking and collecting antiques and my love for shopping may not be all that different after all. Frank, one of the show’s main stars, seems to have an affinity for oil cans. In a recent episode, Frank was attempting to purchase a new oil can from a seller (who stated that it wasn’t for sale) which provided the perfect opportunity for Mike, the show’s other main star, to poke fun at him. He said something along the lines of, “Frank just keeps buying oil cans, lines them all up and stares at them. I’ll tell him ‘don’t buy that, you already have that one,’ and he’ll say, ‘but I don’t have it in green.'” It was in this moment that I truly identified with the show and turned to John stating, “see? It’s like my love for leopard print.”
In my opinion, a girl can never have too much leopard print. Sure, I may have a pair of leopard heels but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t buy leopard flats, and leopard loafers. And while I have this leopard print necktie blouse, I’m going to need a long sleeve leopard blouse for fall and winter, am I right? The way I see it, when you find a trend you love, there’s no reason not to invest in it. No matter the trend you choose, you can never have “too much” of something that makes you both look and feel great.
What trends or prints do you keep adding to your wardrobe? Do you believe you can ever have “too much” of a certain trend or print?

That top is fantastic – the perfect chic blouse! Love the pants too – you look great!

Pearls & Paws
Thank you Heather! I seriously wear that top once a week. It’s perfect for the office and is so fun.
Ha ha! I am feeling that way with mustard yellow right now. Your leopard top is adorable!
I just checked out your mustard yellow skinny jeans, so cute and such an amazing price!! I guess we all have our favorite things π
Very chic blouse:)I too love leopard print but sadly don’t have a lot in my wardobe..but I I will definitely catch up with you:)

Leopard is the best! I treat it like a neutral and will pair it with just about anything. Definitely a good investment.
My boyfriend always says “don’t you already have that shirt?” when I go to buy something new! In reality, it’s not the same shirt but maybe it’s a similar color or pattern. I have a lot of black in my wardrobe I’ve been told, but that’s because it goes with everything!
Love this top, Modcloth is amazing! I recommended it to my cousin for a few weddings she had to attend and she loved it!
Haha John is the same way with me. Especially when it comes to my shoe collection. He says it’s too much, I just say I’m covering all my bases and my wardrobe is prepared for any occasion! Modcloth is amazing, I wish I had a gift card with an unlimited balance to spend there.
Love the leopard with the cargo pants βΒ awesome combo!
I can never get enough stripes β love them, addicted.
Sea and Swank
Thanks Susie! I have had those cargo pants for a few years and they’ve never let me down. I’m definitely a fan of stripes too!
Your pictures always come out so gorgeous, Steph! Leopard is one of those things that I’m always attracted to…as well as polka dots! But my biggest “I can never have too many” item is definitely silk shirts. I must have at least 20 different colors and cuts, but their so perfect for work (and drinks afterwards) that I just keep buying more. Madewell and Joe Fresh have great options (especially Joe…so cheap!). xo
Also, just noticed my grammar faux-pas. I meant “they’re” haha!
I need to check out these silk shirts you speak of because they seem to be quite the hot item. And if you like em, I’m bound to like them as well! I’m going to browse both sites and see what I come up with but feel free to inbox me links π
Shopping during my work day? Don’t have to ask me twice, lady! π
I’m a big stripe girl. I mean striped shirts are always cute, striped skirts are some of my favorites and when striped dresses come around… don’t get me started! Every time some “new” striped item comes into style my mom always has some snarky comment ready like “huh? how did this get out of your closet?” Come on, Ma. It’s cute!
A few months ago Target had these adorable maxi skirts and one was black and white stripes. I wanted it SO bad but there were none in my size. Stripes are definitely a great print (and stripes and leopard pair quite well together, just sayin)…
I think you know what I’m going to say. A girl can never have too much… polka dots! And, my husband loves to watch American Pickers too! π

Always Maylee

Great leopard top! π I love the bow detail and the sheerness! π
Thank you so much Rachel! I have a few leopard tops in my wardrobe but this one is definitely my favorite. I wear it so much so I definitely get my money’s worth!
Cute top! I have a never ending love for leopard print too! I think my boyfriend is waiting me to move on to a new color obsession, hahaha, but that’s not happening anytime soon!

Fierce & Fashionable
I’m glad we have that in common! I’m pretty sure John feels the same way but leopard is definitely a lifelong love of mine.
Ha ha, I can totally relate! π I agree, a girl can never have too much leopard. I have to keep stopping myself from buying more of it. Shoes is definitely another one of those things that I will always buy, even if I have 3 other pairs that look similar!

I don’t even try to stop myself anymore, I just love it too much! I’m the same way with shoes. I’ve been better about resisting temptation lately, but can only subside my need for new shoes for so long…
Love the sun setting in your pictures. So pretty!! I love how you used the oil can as an example for your leopard prints!! haha, love it! I’ve heard a lot about that show and hear its addicting to watch, if I hadn’t canceled my Directv, I’d check it out
Emily at Amazing Grapes
Thanks Emily! John is becoming quite the photographer…he must have a good teacher π That’s too bad you can’t watch American Pickers…but I’m sure they have it on Netflix. It’s such a fun show to watch!

You are too sweet Elena, thank you thank you!
These pictures are so pretty! And I can agree, a girl can never have too much leopard print. I love the sheer-ness of the top too, because that is what I can’t get enough off. I feel like all my tops in my closet are sheer.
Thanks Jenna! I have so many sheer tops in my wardrobe also. At first I didn’t know how to outfit them but once I added a few lacy white and nude tanks into the mix I couldn’t get enough.
I can’t decided which I love more, the light in your photos or your pretty outfit! Both are simply gorgeous!
xo jen
I agree! and feel that way about many of my clothes! like colored jeans or blazers – can’t have too many! π love your top!

It’s still warm enough where you are to wear short sleeves? Lucky duck!
I really need to add leopard to my wardrobe. You look fabulous, girl!
