3 Ways to Rock Your White Tee

I’m going to try something new today: an outfit post. Fashion is a huge part of my life and one of the main ways I choose to express myself, so I think it definitely has a home here on twenty-something. Let me know what you think!

Like most of my fellow twenty-somethings, I’m a girl on a budget. As much as I’d love to buy something new everyday, I simply can’t afford it. I have to find multiple ways to wear each piece in my wardrobe to get the most out of what I’ve got. So when thinking of an idea for what to feature for my first outfit post, I thought what better than the simple white tee? Following these tips below, maybe you can finally wear that favorite tee of yours everyday of the week (you’re welcome).

PS- thank you John for being late to work because you took all these photos for me. πŸ™‚

Look #1:

Shirt: American Eagle (on sale for $12), Dress: Nasty Gal (find it here), Necklace: American Eagle (similar), Belt: F21

IΒ got my inspiration for this one here. When I first saw it I’ll admit I wasn’t crazy about the idea of wearing a shirt over a dress. I decided to give it a go and realized it not only increases the wearability of my white tee, but also the wearability of my favorite mint dress. Knotting your white tee over a dress with a skinny belt will transform it into a skirt. Shazam: new way to wear your dress, too!

Look #2:Β

Shirt: American Eagle, Blazer: Thrift store, Jeans: American Eagle, Shoes: Nine West Outlet (similar), Necklace: F21 (similar)

Try this one for running errands on the weekend, or a lunch date. You can dress it down by removing the blazer, and the pop of color (I used orange) gives the outfit a little something extra.

Look #3:

Shirt: American Eagle, Pants: F21 (similar), Shoes: Nine West (similar), Necklace: Modcloth

For a look that’s on trend and dressy enough for girls night out, pair your white tee with colored denim, your favorite pumps and a statement necklace. This look is super easy to recreate and it’s also fun to try color blocking here with colored pumps and jeans.

There you have it, your white tee made even more versatile. What are some fun ways you would style your white tee?

I like them all and you look great in all of them, but I think I like 1 and 3 the most simply because I’m really loving the combination of White and Mint! Very nice!

You definitely need to post more outfits because you have a fabulous sense of style! I just love all 3 looks! Congrats on the award…it’s much deserved. I was happy to find that we have a lot of “randomness” in common. . .mainly no broken bones, shoe obsessions, dreaming of Italy and being a wine wannabee. πŸ™‚ Definitely following on Bloglovin!

Thanks for the compliments Jenny! Sometimes I feel so uninspired with my fashion and I have a hard time coming up with new and creative ideas…it’s nice to hear someone thinks I have great style πŸ™‚ I’m planning to do outfit posts every Friday since this one seemed to be a success. Also great to hear we have so much in common..people always react in disbelief when they hear I’ve never broken a bone! Thanks for the follow and I can’t wait to see more from your blog!

Love the outfits!! The first one is my fave ^^ and the last necklace is gorgeous!
I usualy do not wear whit t’s, find them so difficult… prefer going for a black tshirt πŸ™‚ And usually style with really colorful stuff, but now Im thinking that I usually have plain pants and printed tops…so it is not common for me to wear a simple t πŸ˜€
Wanna follow each other on bloglovin? πŸ˜€ Let me know πŸ™‚

You should definitely try to recreate the looks with your own pieces and let me know if you do! You should definitely invest in a statement necklace, they’re so fun and can take any outfit to the next level. Thanks for the nice comments on my blog!
